Talking Points | Hey, What's Your Shirt Mean?

If you're like me, I think the "wait" part is the hardest! Don't we wish we could just pray and see an immediate response or change? Granted, sometimes we do! But most of the time, there's a season of waiting. God is not a genie, after all! 

When we pray, we also submit to God's will for us. Earnest prayer transforms our hearts and helps us to remember that we are on God's timeline, not our own. 

" Wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope" --Psalm 130:5 NKJV 

"My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him" --Psalm 62:5 

Waiting for the Lord helps us to grow in faith and shows us that God is in charge. It is during these periods of waiting that God can change our hearts ... he may change the very thing we were praying for to align to HIs will, and to give us peace with His will. Prayer truly is a transformative process, and a lot happens in the waiting...

"For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him" --Isaiah 64:4
