Proverbs 15:13 says "a happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit." 

What can we take away from this? I've always been told that when you're happy on the inside, you can see it on the outside. With a cheerful face, we have a glow -- the happy eyes, the genuine smile, and a sense of restfulness or peace. The thing is, we can CHOOSE to have a happy heart, regardless of our circumstances. Your attitude is more important than your circumstance, and it shows self-discipline and caring for others. Not only will your happy heart improve your own state of mind, but it will affect those around you! With the gift of heaven and eternal life awaiting us, how can we NOT be happy?
